Liz Hounslow

University Of South Australia

I work at UniSA Online as a Digital Curriculum Librarian.  I collaborate with the course development teams and academics to design and deliver learner centered curricula. I oversee processes to source quality digital resources, including multimedia and Open Educational Resources and regularly advise academics on availability of resources and best practice regarding copyright. I also have expertise in information and digital literacy support for university students and identify, design and deliver innovative resources to improve students’ understanding in this area.
Prior to moving to UniSA Online I have worked as a researcher and librarian in Australia, Singapore and the United Kingdom.

In 2019 I published my first co-authored paper titled ‘Re-envisioning the role of academic librarians for the digital learning environment: the case of UniSA Online’, in the Journal of University Teaching and Learning Practice.  I have also spoken at the 2019 UniSA Teaching and Learning Symposium on ‘Building student confidence in the online environment: working together to give students the academic and digital skills to succeed at university’, and at the 2017 Research Applications, Information and Library Studies (RAILS) conference in Adelaide on 'Crossing the boundaries: a collaborative experience to integrate digital curriculum and literacy support in UniSA Online'.
